Who We AreBharatiya Chitra Sadhna

Cinema and culture complement and supplement each other. On the one hand cinema reflects macro and micro contours of culture but it also is a potent agent and vehicle of change of norms, beliefs, values and practices. In fact, cinema is itself an expression of culture. Cinema of Bharat is supposed to reflect Bharatiya in its real nature. A part of our cinema reflects our past and present but a significant section of the Cinema of Bharat seem to be unfair to Bharatiya ethos and values. Either the Bharatness is absent or it is presented in a distorted and derogatory manner.

A section of the cinema uses this potent medium to divide the society. Bharatiya Chitra Sadhna (BCS) aims to use the art and craft of this audio-video medium to present Bharat in a realistic manner so as to integrate the society rather than to create fissures in various sections. Cinema has to be used as a medium for the rejuvenation of the nation and to promote the concept of basic unity of the culture amongst the diversities.

Fifth Chitra Bharati FILM FESTIVAL-2024

Bharatiya Chitra Sadhna promotes making and screening of films glorifying our ancient knowledge system, values and ethos too through Chitra Bharati Film Festivals. CBFF organises national film festivals every alternate year. In addition, CBFF involves young film makers to make and exhibit short films at local levels as well.
