FIFTH CHITRA BHARATI FILM FESTIVAL-2024

Films are one of the most potent media of carrying information and entertainment to the masses.  Realising the positive potential of all kinds of films in the process of the rise of Bharat, like minded persons decided to promote films with positive, constructive and integrity promoting messages. Bharatiya Chitra Sadhana was created in 2016 to encourage films that promote ancient and modern Bharatiya values and philosophy.

Most states have film societies affiliated to CBFF and organise their own film festivals as well. During CBFFs films, shortlisted by a group of reputed artists and filmmakers, are screened for the benefit of new learners. Young film makers also get opportunities to interact with famous personalities of film industry in Master Classes.

Fifth Edition of Chitra Bharati Film Festival will be organising on 23rd, 24th , 25th February 2024 in Panchkula, Haryana.

Subjects on which films have been invited for CBFF 2024 are –

Women Empowerment – 

When a woman is literate, she enables two families. That’s why empowerment of women in the society is a great need of today. Women empowerment means increasing the spiritual, political, social or economic power of women. Women in Bharat are playing a role in the revival of the nation by becoming self-reliant by participating in the fields of education, politics, media, art and culture, service sectors, science and technology etc. Films can be made on such subjects.

महिला सशक्तिकरण –

एक महिला जब साक्षर होती है तो दो परिवारों को सक्षम बनाती है। इसलिए समाज में महिलाओं का सशक्तिकरण होना आज की महती आवश्यकता है। महिला सशक्तिकरण यानी महिलाओं की आध्यात्मिक, राजनीतिक, सामाजिक या आर्थिक शक्ति में वृद्धि करना। भारत में महिलाएं शिक्षा, राजनीति, मीडिया, कला व संस्कृति, सेवा क्षेत्रों, विज्ञान व प्रौद्योगिकी आदि के क्षेत्र में भागीदारी करते हुए आत्मनिर्भर बन राष्ट्र के पुनरुत्थान में भूमिका निभा रही हैं। ऐसे विषयों पर फ़िल्मों का निर्माण हो सकता है।

Employment Generation – 

The only solution to the problem of unemployment is self-employment and entrepreneurship. By making the society skill-based, not an employment seeker, but an employment provider, many works are being done in this direction. There is a need to give this message in the society that no work is small or big. Films based on self-employment and entrepreneurship can be made in this category.

रोज़गार सृजन –

बेरोजगारी की समस्या का एकमात्र हल स्वरोजगार और उद्यमिता है। समाज को कौशल आधारित बनाकर रोजगार मांगने वाला नहीं, रोजगार देने वाला बनना है, इस दिशा में अनेक कार्य हो रहे हैं। यह संदेश समाज में देने की आवश्यकता है कि कोई भी कार्य छोटा या बड़ा नहीं होता है। स्वरोजगार व उद्यमिता पर आधारित फिल्में इस श्रेणी में बनायी जा सकती है।

Harmony – 

Harmony means social equality that is, by eradicating caste discrimination and untouchability from the root, increasing mutual love and harmony among people and establishing unity among all sections of the society. Harmony means considering everyone as you. All human beings in the universe are the children of the same God and there is only one consciousness present in them, accepting this from the heart. Any kind of discrimination with anyone has never been accepted in Bharatiya culture. Even in our Vedas there is no mention of any discrimination on the basis of caste or Varna. In hundreds of years of slavery, some false things were added to our religious texts by the invaders, due to which many distortions came in them. Because of this, a situation of confusion has arisen today. Films can be made to get the society out of this illusion.

समरसता –

समरसता का अर्थ है सामाजिक समानता अर्थात जातिगत भेदभाव एवं अस्पृश्यता का जड़मूल से उन्मूलन कर लोगों में परस्पर प्रेम एवं सौहार्द बढ़ाना तथा समाज के सभी वर्गों के मध्य एकता स्थापित करना। समरसता का अर्थ है सभी को अपने समान समझना। सृष्टि में सभी मनुष्य एक ही ईश्वर की संतान है औरउनमें एक ही चैतन्य विद्यमान है इस बात को हृदय से स्वीकार करना। भारतीय संस्कृति में कभी भी किसी के साथ किसी भी तरह का भेदभाव स्वीकार नहीं किया गया है। हमारे वेदों में भी जाति या वर्ण के आधार पर किसी भेदभाव का उल्लेख नहीं है। गुलामी के सकड़ों वर्षों में आक्रमणकारियों द्वारा हमारे धार्मिक ग्रंथों में कुछ मिथ्या बातें जोड़ दी गई, जिससे उनमें कई विकृतियां आ गईं। इसके कारण आज भ्रम की स्थिति उत्पन्न हो गई है। समाज को इस भ्रम से निकालने के लिए फ़िल्मों का निर्माण किया जा सकता है।

Environment – 

The faster the industrialization took place in the world, the faster the pollution crisis also increased. Harmful chemicals, polluted water, toxic gases, dust, ash, smoke coming out of factories have affected human life on a large scale. Due to this, danger has arisen to human life. Conservation of water, forest and land is necessary for a healthy life. Many efforts/experiments are being done in the society for environmental protection. Films can be made on such subjects in this category.

पर्यावरण –

विश्व में जिस तेजी से औद्योगीकरण हुआ उतनी ही तेजी से प्रदूषण का संकट भी बढ़ता गया। कारखानों से निकलने वाले हानिकारक रसायन, प्रदूषित जल, विषैली गैसें, धूल, राख, धुआं ने व्यापक स्तर पर मानव जीवन को प्रभावित किया है। इससे मानव जीवन को ख़तरा उत्पन्न हो गया है। स्वस्थ जीवन के लिए जल, जंगल और जमीन का संरक्षण आवश्यक है। पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए समाज में अनेक प्रयास/प्रयोग हो रहे हैं। इस श्रेणी में ऐसे विषयों पर फिल्में निर्माण कर सकते हैं।

Future Bharat – 

Every section of our society has statutory aspirations; but to fulfill them, such a holistic thinking is needed, which keeps the national interest in mind. We become what we think. Similarly, how we all together envision the Bharat to come will determine what Bharat will be like in the centenary year of independence i.e. 2047? Realizing the spirit of nation-building by the people and society of Bharat, films can be made by marking Bharat of common people’s dreams and shared dreams as the subject.

भविष्य का भारत –

हमारे समाज के हर वर्ग की वैधानिक आकांक्षाएँ हैं; लेकिन इन्हें पूरा कर पाने के लिए एक ऐसी समग्र सोच की जरूरत है, जो राष्ट्र-हित को ध्यान में रखती हो। हम जैसा सोचते हैं वैसा ही बनते जाते हैं। इसी तरह हम सभी मिलकर आने वाले भारत की कल्पना कैसे करते हैं यह सब निर्धारित करेगा कि स्वतंत्रता के शताब्दी वर्ष में यानी 2047 का भारत कैसा होगा? भारत के लोगों और समाज को संपूर्ण राष्ट्र निर्माण की भावना को समझते हुए आम लोगों के सपनों का भारत और सांझें सपनों को विषय के रूप में चिन्हित करते हुए फ़िल्मों का निर्माण किया जा सकता है।

Janjatiya Samaaj- 

Our tribal society is nature worshipper. Nature is their environment as well, support as well as inspiration. Not only do they take food and medicine from nature, they also take makeup tools and festivals. Nature remains the companion of the tribes in every sense. Nature also does the work of beautifying their dance-music, home decoration, entertainment and artistic interest. Along with their love for nature, folk tradition, folk art, folk culture, festivals etc. can be subjects for film making.

जनजातीय समाज –

हमारा जनजातीय समाज प्रकृति पूजक है। प्रकृति उनका परिवेश भी है, आलम्बन भी, उद्दीपन भी। प्रकृति से वे अन्न और औषधि तो ग्रहण करते ही हैं, श्रृंगार के उपकरण और त्यौहार भी लेते हैं। प्रकृति सभी अर्थों में जनजातियों की सहचरी बनी हुई है। उनके नृत्य-संगीत, गृह सज्जा, मनोरंजन और कलाभिरूची को सँवारने का काम भी प्रकृति ही करती है। इनके प्रकृति प्रेम के साथ, लोक परम्परा, लोककला, लोक संस्कृति, उत्सव आदि विषय फ़िल्म निर्माण के लिए हो सकते है।

Courageous Children – 

The history and present of Bharat is replete with stories of bravery and bravery of children. There have been such courageous boys who used to play with lion cubs in their childhood. The stories of children sacrificing for their religion are also famous. Even today, there are such courageous and brave children who saved the lives of others without caring for their own lives. Every year ‘Prime Minister’s Bravery Award’ is also given to such children. Stories based on such brave and courageous children can be presented through films.

साहसी बालक –

भारत का इतिहास और वर्तमान बालकों की वीरता एवं शौर्य की कहानियों से भरा पड़ा है। यहां ऐसे साहसी बालक हुए हैं जो बचपन में सिंह के शावकों के साथ खेलते थे। अपने धर्म के लिए बलिदानी बालकों की कहानियां भी प्रसिद्ध हैं। यहां आज भी ऐसे साहसी व वीर बालक हैं जिन्होनें अपनी जान की परवाह न करते हुए दूसरों के जीवन को बचाया। हर वर्ष ‘प्रधानमंत्री वीरता पुरष्कार’ भी ऐसे बच्चों को प्रदान किया जाता है। ऐसे वीर व साहसी बच्चों पर आधारित कहानियोंको फ़िल्म के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत किया जा सकता है।

Innovation in Children Education – 

Films can also be made on this subject. New experiments (innovations) are being done to teach the children, so that the child learns quickly. Such experiments can be brought about through films.

शिक्षा में नवाचार –

इस विषय पर भी फ़िल्मों का निर्माण किया जासकता है। बच्चों को सिखाने के लिए नए – नए प्रयोग (नवाचार) किए जा रहे हैं जिससे बच्चा जल्दी सीखता है। ऐसे प्रयोग फिल्म के माध्यम से लाए जा सकते हैं।

Moral Education – 

Value education develops moral values in us. Along with learning, it also develops our personality. Grandmother’s stories teach deep meaning of life through simple sayings and symbols, satisfy curiosity and teach truth, honesty, and discipline in life. Such moral education subjects can be selected for film making.

नैतिक शिक्षा –

मूल्य शिक्षा हमारे अंदर नैतिक मूल्यों का विकास करती है। ये सीखने के साथ-साथ हमारे व्यक्तित्व का भी विकास करती है। दादी-नानी की कहानियाँ जीवन के गहरे भाव को आसान बातों एवं प्रतीकों के माध्यम से सिखाती हैं, जिज्ञासा को संतुष्ट करतीहैं और जीवन में सत्य, ईमानदारी, अनुशासन सिखाती है। ऐसी नैतिक शिक्षा देने वाले विषयों को फिल्म निर्माण हेतु चुना जा सकता है

Children Films (Duration: maximum 20 min) Films in all category – Short, documentary and campus will be accepted in this.

1. All Cash Awards will be accompanied with a Trophy & Certificate.
2. Additional Special Awards may be given in the form of Trophies & Certificates on the recommendations of Juries.

For Campus Films – Rs. 100/-

For All other Categories – Rs. 500/-

The films need to be submitted through Google Drive link only. However, in case of any difficulties in uploading, it could be sent physically in Pen drive or DVD.

Synopsis of the film – not more than 300 words.

Bio data of Director.

Crew List / List of actors.

Participation letter from Producer or College authorities or legal right holders.

Individual technicians or the actors can submit their films, with the authorisation letter from the producer/legal right holder.

Detail of award/s received, festival screening, release (if any).

Film poster and other publicity materials.

On selection of the Film for Competition Section, Blue-Ray / Pen-Drive / DCP copy may be asked, if required.

Entries will start from 1st September 2023 & last date of receiving entry is 15th December 2023. The films must reach us by this date.

Selected films will be notified before January 15, 2024.

Students from different colleges, universities, film or media institutes can submit to CAMPUS FILM Category. However, they are also free to submit their films to any other categories of their choice under Rs. 500/- Registration Fees.

The Film must be an original creation & shall not be copied from any other films made earlier.

In any language films will be submitted with English subtitles. Silent Films are also, eligible.

Films made in between 1st January 2022 to 15th December 2023 only are eligible to participate in this festival.

The Film should be produced in India and the Producer / Director must be of Indian Origin.

The Producer/Director or the legal IPR holder of the film needs to sign the attached declaration letter along with their submission. If the declaration submitted by the participants are found to be factually false or incorrect, Chitra Bharati Film Festival reserves the rights to reject the entry or even cancel the selection of the film after the final results /announcements.

Jury’s decision will be final and cannot be challenged.

Bharatiya Chitra Sadhna will have right to use the film or part of the film in any manner possible for its publicity or otherwise for screening it at any place in India or abroad.
